Extraction (Pathnovo) reads the P&ID and outputs structured data — tags, instruments, lines, equipment — into JSON, Excel, or enterprise systems. Conversion (iDrawings) redraws the P&ID in a new format (SmartPlant). If you need the data, use extraction. If you need a redrawn P&ID, use conversion.
