What is the difference between P&ID extraction and P&ID conversion?
Extraction (Pathnovo) reads the P&ID and outputs structured data, tags, instruments, lines, equipment, into JSON, Excel, or enterprise systems. Conversion (iDrawings) redraws the P&ID in a new format (SmartPlant). If you need the data, use extraction. If you need a redrawn P&ID, use conversion.
Does IPS iDrawings extract data to Excel or JSON?
No. iDrawings converts (redraws) P&IDs into SmartPlant P&ID, AVEVA P&ID, or AutoCAD Plant 3D format. It does not output structured data to Excel, JSON, or enterprise systems. Pathnovo extracts structured data to any format including Excel, JSON, SAP PM, and IBM Maximo.
Can IPS iDrawings process HAZOP documents or mill certificates?
No. iDrawings only handles P&ID drawings. Pathnovo processes 15+ engineering document types including P&IDs, isometrics, datasheets, HAZOP registers, mill certificates, valve lists, I/O lists, and more.
Does IPS offer an accuracy SLA?
