HxGN SDx (Smart Data Exchange) is Hexagon's capital-project information management platform, part of the SmartPlant / ALI ecosystem. It aggregates engineering data from SmartPlant P&ID, SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation), SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant Materials, and SmartPlant Electrical into a unified data hub for project handover and operations. SDx2 is the AI-enhanced extension adding machine-learning text extraction from legacy documents so tags and metadata can be lifted into the SmartPlant environment.
