What is the relationship between tag extraction and instrument index?
Tag extraction is the first step; instrument index generation is the complete deliverable. Tag extraction produces the raw tag register (tag, type, P&ID reference, location). Instrument index adds datasheet data, loop assignments, I/O configuration, SIL classification, and downstream system integration (SAP PM / Maximo).
