Columns cover tag number, ISA 5.1 instrument type, P&ID reference with sheet and revision, loop assignment, line number, equipment reference, safety classification per IEC 61511, design conditions, material, signal type, and range / set point. Used as the baseline for building instrument indexes, tag registers, I/O lists, and equipment lists for EPC projects.

Tag extraction is the first step; instrument index generation is the complete deliverable. Tag extraction produces the raw tag register (tag, type, P&ID reference, location). Instrument index adds datasheet data, loop assignments, I/O configuration, SIL classification, and downstream system integration (SAP PM / Maximo).
