Does AVEVA AIM extract data from PDFs or scanned drawings?
No. AIM aggregates structured data already sitting in AVEVA-authored tools (E3D, PID, Instrumentation) and CFIHOS-aligned sources. For PDFs and scanned drawings, an upstream extraction step is required. Pathnovo fills that upstream role: extract from PDFs, emit CFIHOS-compliant structured data, feed AIM.
Is AVEVA AIM the same as AVEVA NET?
Closely related. AVEVA NET is AVEVA's older information management product; AIM is the modern successor within the AVEVA Connect cloud platform. Both aggregate structured asset data. Neither extracts from unstructured documents. Pathnovo works with both: output format configurable for either NET or AIM ingestion.
