No. Pathnovo is complementary, not competitive. SDx2 lifts text tags from legacy documents into SmartPlant Foundation. Pathnovo extracts the full P&ID graph (symbols + topology + tags) plus 15+ document types (isometrics, datasheets, HAZOP, mill certs, IBR / OISD / PESO / CCOE registers) that SDx2 does not address. These are downstream consumers of the SmartPlant Foundation data that Pathnovo helps populate. Pathnovo's role ends at SmartPlant Foundation ingestion via SDx2 data take-on schema. Hexagon's toolset (Smart 3D for 3D plant design, Smart Instrumentation for instrument design, Smart Materials for procurement and 3D-model-driven MTO, Smart Completions for handover) consumes the populated data via their native interfaces. For workflows Hexagon's tools cannot address (e.g. piping MTO from scanned non-3D-modelled isometrics), Pathnovo continues to handle as standalone managed service.

For non-Hexagon customers (AVEVA, Bentley, mid-EPC mixed-tool, plain SAP / Maximo deployments), output is configurable per platform: AVEVA AIM CFIHOS, Bentley iTwin schema, Cognite Data Fusion data model, SAP PM equipment master CSV, IBM Maximo asset register XML, or raw Excel / JSON / CFIHOS RDF.

Pathnovo provides 99.5% contractual field-level accuracy SLA with a remedy clause and per-sheet audit trail. SDx2 does not publish an accuracy SLA on extracted content. For Hexagon-committed customers running mission-critical asset register builds (IBR Form IV, IBR Form III, brownfield refinery digitisation), Pathnovo's contractual SLA on the extraction phase backs the SmartPlant Foundation data quality that downstream Hexagon tools depend on.
